Welcome Note
We are delighted to invite you to join us for the 2019 Amazon Research Days (ARD), our second annual program of worldwide events connecting external academic researchers around the globe with the Amazon Research community. The event is a series of one-day interactive symposia and has been designed to allow for a symmetric exchange of ideas and foster collaboration between the Amazon scientists and relevant academics at any stage of their research, from graduate students to full professors. One unique characteristic of the ARD series is that each day is held in a different location in order to make it easy for any academic worldwide to attend. Each one-day event is held at a major research talent hub, including, like last year, from East to West, Bangalore (India), Haifa (Israel), Berlin (Germany), Boston (USA/MA), our Amazon headquarters Seattle (USA/WA). We also introduced in 2019 new locations namely Edinburgh (UK), San Francisco (USA/CA), Los Angeles (USA/CA) and even a virtual location to provide the opportunity for anyone around the world to participate.
The entire series of events features invited Amazon and academic speakers, innovative product and features demos, round tables, networking sessions, student poster presentations, female graduate mentorship breakfasts and more. Please take a look at each respective location’s page to learn more.
